Warm Cinnamon Peaches | A Gut Loving Recipe
Warm Cinnamon Peaches
Serves: 1
Time: 10–15 minutes
There’s something so comforting about warm fruit, especially as the seasons shift and our bodies naturally start to crave grounding, warming foods. This simple little dish is one I come back to over and over in the cooler months. It’s cozy, quick, budget-friendly, and truly so good for the gut.
Peaches are rich in vitamins A and C, both of which support healthy skin and immune function. When paired with a pinch of Celtic Sea salt (which contains trace minerals), antioxidant-rich cinnamon, and a dollop of coconut yoghurt (hello, healthy fats + probiotics), this sweet treat becomes more than just delicious—it’s deeply nourishing.
And let’s not forget how easy it is. A few pantry staples, one pan, and around ten minutes is all you need. Whether you’re after a gut-loving brekkie, a soothing snack, or a light dessert that still feels indulgent—this one's a go-to. I love mine with pan-fried banana too, or warm green apples when peaches are out of season. Bliss.
Ingredients
-
2 ripe peaches, sliced (if you don't have access to peaches, green apples work well)
-
1 tbsp coconut sugar
-
½ cup boiling water (plus extra as needed)
-
A pinch of Celtic Sea salt
-
Ground cinnamon (to taste)
-
Coconut yoghurt (to serve)
-
Granola or seed mix (for topping)
Method
-
Slice the peaches into your preferred shape.
-
Add them to a small saucepan with coconut sugar, boiling water, a pinch of Celtic Sea salt, and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon.
-
Bring to a gentle boil and simmer, stirring occasionally. Keep a close eye on the heat—coconut sugar burns fast! Add more water if needed until the peaches are soft but still slightly firm.
-
While they simmer, spoon some coconut yoghurt into a bowl.
-
Once the peaches are ready, let them cool slightly, then spoon them over the yoghurt.
-
Top with a handful of granola or a crunchy seed mix for the perfect finish.
Enjoy slowly (if you can resist!). This might just be the most wondrous dessert or snack you’ll ever have the joy of savouring.
