The Event That Changed Everything: From our founder, Aimee

Hosting my first wellness event at The Calile Hotel was more than just a milestone—it was a full-circle moment that unlocked something in me I didn’t even know was waiting. It was powerful, healing, confronting, and expansive, all at once. And I haven’t been the same since.

Standing on that stage, surrounded by a room full of open hearts, I felt a shift. Public speaking, something I once feared, became a channel to speak my truth. It unlocked a deep confidence and clarity—a knowing that my story, no matter how painful or imperfect, has the power to help others feel seen, understood, and inspired to keep going. Because the fight is worth fighting.

When Women Come Together

There’s a kind of magic that happens when women gather. The walls come down. We speak from the heart. We share our struggles and strengths. We hold space for each other in a way that feels safe and sacred. This event reminded me that healing is amplified in community. We’re not meant to do this alone.

The Power of Integrated Health

One of the most eye-opening takeaways of the day was the reminder of how integrated health is the future. When nutrition and psychology come together, everything changes. It’s not just about what you eat—it’s how you think, how you speak to yourself, how you feel when no one’s watching.

Hearing from Sheridan Austin and Meghan Gray—two of the most deeply aligned women in their fields—was a dream come true. Sharing a stage with them was hands down the biggest “pinch me” moment of my life. These women are changing the game, and I’m so honoured to have stood beside them.

The Environment Within and Around Us

Another moment that stuck with me? Realising just how much our external environment impacts our internal world. From the air we breathe and the media we consume, to the energy of the people around us—our surroundings are shaping our nervous systems every single day. Awareness is the first step to reclaiming our space, our peace, and our power.

Conversations That Need to Be Had

At NOURÍSHD, we had a conversation that truly matters—one that bridged science, soul, and self-awareness. These weren’t just topics; they were turning points for many in the room.

  • Gut-Brain Axis and Emotional Health
We explored the profound connection between our gut and our mind—how nurturing gut health can strengthen emotional resilience, boost mental clarity, and lay the groundwork for holistic well-being.
“Your gut isn’t just a digestive organ—it’s a second brain, impacting how we feel, think, and respond.”

  • Body Image, Binge-Restriction, and Starvation Syndrome
We talked about the silent struggles with food—the emotional roots of binge and restrictive eating, and how these cycles deeply affect both physical and psychological health.
Sheridan and Meghan brought such clarity and compassion to this space, helping us understand how both mindset and nutrition are key to healing.

  • Emotional Regulation and Self-Care: An Inside-Out Approach
We redefined self-care—not as a buzzword, but as a powerful combination of emotional regulation and daily nourishment.
From breathwork to balancing blood sugar, we discussed how managing stress and supporting our bodies can completely shift how we experience life.

  • The Pillars of Self – Aligning Mind, Body, and Spirit
Through Meghan’s guidance, we explored the concept of the “pillars of self”—what it means to nourish your mind, body, and spirit as a unified whole.
This was about returning home to ourselves. To finally live in alignment, not in pieces.

These conversations were raw, real, and radically healing. And for so many of us, they were the exact truths we didn’t even know we needed.

What I Know Now

If I could bottle up the feeling of that day, I would. Because what I know now is this:

  • Sharing your story is an act of service.

  • Confidence comes when you step into spaces that stretch you.

  • Healing multiplies in community.

  • And when women support each other, we become unstoppable.

This was just the beginning—and I can’t wait to do it all again.
